I began my search on the internet for information about the lapband in July 2010. After making the decision that the band was the right choice for me I was refered to Dr. Selzer of Clarian Bariatric in Indy. I attended a seminar in august and then got an appointment to see the dr. My first appointment was on Sept. 8. I have also seen the nutritionist, attended a nutrition class and had a psych evaluation. My psych evaluation was on Tuesday and he said I was a good candidate for the surgery. I was told that my information would be submited to the insurance company, so I guess all I am waiting for is insurance approval and then I can start the pre-op process. I also had a sleep study about two weeks ago. I have another appointment with Dr. Selzer on November 17th. I have met many people at Clarian and I am very glad that I made the decision to go there. Everyone I have come in contact with has been very nice and make me feel very comfortable. I found this site not long after making my decision and it has made me much more confident that I have made the right choice.
