ist week

What an experience. To get the nerve to go to Mexico and have the lapband. It was so unlike me. However, no I have hope. The hospital and staff were wonderful. I was very scared but everyone was reasuuring. I left on 3/15 with my husband. Got to the hospital later that night for x-rays and blood work and went back to the hotel.   I met Anathasia and her mother. Another lapband buddy. Ron and I had dinner in the Lacerna cafe. It was very slow, but the spagetti was wonderful. Ron had alfredo.   We then met with Dr. Campos who ecplained the band and gave us more insturctions.   Surgery day, we checked into the hospital; completed test and then waited for surgery. Talked to Dr. Aceves, the internist and the anesthesiogist. Every thing went get but I remember foaming at the mouth from the co2. I remember waking up while they were finishing surgery.   After seeing my banding buddy get out of bed before I did, I got up about an hour after I got to the room and walked. No dizziness. No problems with nausea since I had the surgery.   Did good with the liquids, did insert 1 and 2 soft cooked boiled egges mashed up. That helped with filling full. I am staying away from hight fight high surger food. I love the crystal light orange drink. It helps me to get my fluids in.   3/26; lost 12 lbs since 3/16; I am happy.
