Need advice

I will have to say that I am so disapointed in the lap band! I really thought that this was going to help me and so far it is not. I got banded Aug 26 and got my first fill and second fill in oct. My first fill was I believe 6cc and it did nothing. I went back and the nurse practioner was aprehensive about filling me more so she only have me 1.5cc So far I am not noticing much of anything. There are a few foods that I feel like I cant eat cause they make me choke but other then that I can still eat too much! I thought this band was going to make me feel full, I thought I was going to only be able to eat a few bites. My surgeon tells me to measure my food and eat less and if I had to damn will power to do that i wouldnt have gotten the band in the first place. I am so bummed. No weight loss nothing. I just dont wanna live like this anymore. Needed to vent thanks!

Disapointed

Got my Ins Approval and Started my liquid diet

So I got the best news ever last Friday when I called my insurance company and I was approved for my lap band surgery!!! I am getting really nervous and very excited all at the same time. I started my liquid diet today and it has really really sucked. I am hoping that each day will get easier and eventually I hope I stop thinking about the food. It is so hard to make my kids bfast, lunch, and dinner without eating. I have had to just remember the ultimate reward will pay off. Any suggestions on getting through the liquid diet phase before surgery????

Waiting for my 6 mothe pre req to be done!

I have not gotten the surgery yet :sad: Bummer. I have to go through 6 months supervised diet with my doctor as a pre req from my ins. I have my month 5 appt june 25th so I am getting closer! I am getting a little nervous. Not about the surgery but more about my ins pulling something funny and denying the surgery. I will be completely devestated. I have been doing a bunch of pre op tests and other things so I already have a lot of money into all this. I am sure a million people have been in my position before!! Just wanted to blog a bit before I started to look over the site!
