  7. I started with the BMI of 33 (day of surgery weight 193, 5'5" )and had my surgery October 22. I was self pay because my insurance wouldn't cover it. I have lost a little over 30 pounds so far and I'm no longer on blood pressure medicine. I had a major stall and have slowly been losing again. Totally worth every penny. I am down several sizes and feel better with more energy.

  13. I feel the same!!! I am on day 2 and my surgery is scheduled for Thursday and I am also hangry! I want chips, chicken, pizza, bbq, cookies...anything!!!!!
  14. So my surgery is scheduled for Thursday and wow am I a mixed bag of emotions...excited, scared, nervous, anxious...My pre-op diet was only 3 days but I LOVE food so it has been hard (to not be able to "chew"). I am starting out with what is a considered a "low BMI"...insurance would not pay for it so I am self pay (BMI-32.45...I am 5'5", fluxuate between 195-200lbs). I have dealt with supportive people and very unsupportive people but this is my choice and I am ready to make this change.
  15. *Newtum I start my preop diet next week...I am worried about that! I just don't know how I will get through with the liquid diet! I love food and need to be able to chew my food LOL!

  17. I am scheduled for October 22 for the Sleeve...I too am having the same thoughts/concerns...I am 41...5'5", weigh 193 with BMI 32...the few people I told are not very supportive (they think it is the easy way out). I have tried every diet pill out there, I take fitness classes a few times a week and still cannot lose weight (I can lose but it always comes back)...I have high blood pressure and started thinking about the surgery when my doctor told me I have chance of getting diabetes and my liver was slightly enlarged. I am so scared and nervous now that it is getting closer but I really want to do this regardless of what my friends and family say. Best of luck to you!
