  5. I had my surgery yesterday 7/7. I was supposed to have the gastric bypass but he found a football sized ovarian cyst which interfered with my intestines so he converted to a gastric sleeve. He was able to remove 3 litres of fluid from the cyst but there is another 2 litres left, so it looks like another surgery down the road. I had researched the gastric bypass seven ways to Sunday but now I have the sleeve and don't know what to expect. Looks like I start my research all over again! Small price to pay for a thinner future. I'm glad he was able to do something. I would have been so upset if I woke up with nothing! Otherwise I'm doing well. I have discomfort due to the gas. When does that start to pass? Soon I hope. Good to hear from the Julyers!
  6. I love you video! Thanks for the tips!
  7. My pre op appointments are tomorrow and my surgery is next Monday, 7/7. I'm really inspired by everyone's list, so here's mine: 10. Not have to worry I'm going to break a chair. 9. To shop with my daughter in regular size stores and be stylish. 8. No more chub rub! 7. To sit in theaters, on planes, in church, etc. without infringing on the person next to me. 6. To hike, bike & swim and not have to worry about getting hurt because of my weight. 5. To take pride in my appearance. 4. To feel and look like a strong, determined woman, not someone who feels scattered and weak. 3. To finish a triathlon, half marathon & century ride (not on the same day, lol) 2. More endurance! 1. Knowing that I've finally beaten the single most challenging obstacle I have ever faced, finally!
  8. I'm July 7th as well! I have my pre op appointment with the surgeon and my pre op class on Tuesday. It's getting close! I'm at Kaiser in So San Francisco with Dr Khayat. Good luck to you!

  12. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner-I've been crazy busy. My surgery date is 7/7! Anyway, Mon or Tue at 6:30pm works for me!
  13. I'm in Santa Rosa and preparing to have surgery. A local support group would be fantastic!
