Should pain great answer from DR

I have been banding since May and love my band i don't pb i have great restriction but i do have one side affect i get horrible shoulder pain about twice a week. I was always afraid to tell the doctor because i thought i might hear bad news like we have to take the band out or something like that. Well my husband being the caring man that he is made me tell him yesturday at my appointment. I told the dr that i get should pain about twice a week really bad and i notice it when i havn't eaten in several hrs and my pouch is empty. Here was his answer

The tubing that comes from the band to the port sometimes rubs the diaphragm causing should pain (there is a nerve that runs through the body to the shoulders) He said that some people are more sensitive then others and get the shoulder pain. He said the reason why i notice it when i havn't eaten in a while and my pouch is empty is because when the pouch is full it pushs on the band making it a little lower in you belly so it isn't rubbing. When the pouch is empty it is closer to the diaphragm therefor rubbing againest it.

I though this might help some of you that is having shoulder pain. I thought this was a very good answer
