October 9 Surgery

I had surgery on 10/9/2009. I am at day 2.5 post-op and feel pretty good. Two days of Clear liquids and now this evening, I had some cream of chicken Soup (thinned with chicken broth) and it was a little sip of heaven!!!

I have not been hungry at all - I worry that I am not getting enough Protein and liquids -- surely my ability to drink will increase as I begin to feel better. Everything goes down easily - I am just having trouble remembering to drink....

So far, I am thrilled to have this chance at a new beginning!!! My surgery was uneventful and everyone at the hospital (St. Francis Topeka KS) was wonderful. Very mild discomfort. Biggest problem right now - sinus drainage causing coughing....

Let me know how everyone else is doing! Share any good high protein soup ideas -- I have 2 weeks of full liquids to work through:)
