Anybody here have any copies of letters of recommendation that WORKED from your PCP? I talked to my doctor today and he said he'd be glad to write me one and even said if you want to email me what you want it to say, go ahead and I"ll put it in there.

Anybody have one? Or know of a site/place that I can get one?

That is one thing I did not keep a copy of that I wish I had. Basically, he discussed my weight history, complications that could occur if I didn't lose the weight (I don't have any comorbidities) and my family history of obesity. It was succint but stated all the pertinent information. My surgeon requests the doctor to use the word "recommend" in the letter.

Do you have to write a letter to your surgeon? I did. If you want to look at that, I don't care to post it. I posted it for feedback before I sent it and made some good changes. If you want it, just PM me or something in case I don't catch this thread again.
