September 22, 200520 yr Hello, this is my first time here. I just learned about this site via obesityhelp. I've posted this on OH, however, obviuosly no one has any experience with Beechstreet Insurance. Has anyone here been banded via Beechstreet? I would just like to know how difficult they are and what hurdles you have to jump? Thanks for you time! Crystal
September 22, 200520 yr My husbands company offered that and PHCS. I think they are both about the same. The reason why we didn't go with Beechstreet was because it only covered 1 hospital and all of our Dr.s are from the other. I am happy with my insurance right now and I haven't heard any complaints from the other employee's about Beechstreet. Give them a call they'll tell you if they cover it or not. Good luck.
September 22, 200520 yr Beechstreet is not an insurance product, it's a network of providers working through many, many different insurance carriers and programs. There's no one answer to "how" they are; they don't set the medical parameters for how conditions are covered. You should call your employer and find out who makes the determination of medical necessity in situations like this. If you work for a large company, it may even be your employer who decides what's covered.
