Blue Shield of CA?

Hello everyone,

I recently got Blue Shield of CA insurance and I wanted to know if anyone else here was able to get the procedure done with the insurance?

What is the process to find out if I would be approved, what steps do I need to take?

Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Hi, I also have BCBS of CA and they do cover lapband. You need to find the bariatric surgeon that you plan to use and go to a seminar - usually the insurance coordinator at the surgeons office will apply for your approval and walk you thru each step that BCBS requires of you. Good Luck!
