Financial assistance

Hi. I am an Americorps member in Fort Collins, CO and I am trying to help an uninsured patient get financial assistance for the Lap Band procedure. She has tried diets, pills, etc and her doctor finally recommended Lap Band. The thing is that she has no way to pay for it. Do any of you have suggestions as to who I could contact in Colorado for potential financial assistance? Do you know of any alternatives to Lap Band that might be cheaper?
