Cigna denied my surgery, they said they didn't get all the information. So I went through my doctor and nutritionist's notes that were submitted (for my 6 months of medi. supervised weight loss program) and see that not all of them state that diet AND exercise were discussed, so now I have to get them to basically re-write their notes with all the required information, because we DID discuss both diet and exercise at all of the appointments, they just didn't document it! AGHH...... Insurance and doctors are so frustrating and my PCP is so by the book, she may say she can't alter her notes.

I just hope I can get all of this information and submitted soon, so I don't lose my surgery date. I am trying to think positively - and hope it gets done.

Ok,I find this frustrating. I'm sure you went in there and told them you are doing the diet for the lap band and they didn't write good notes? BS! ugh.

I was a pain in my dr. arse. I kept saying, um make sure you document everything discussed, like exercise, nutrition, portion size..etc.

I hope they'll do it.

I REALLY hope they will fix them, because I can't wait and do another 6 months, I'll go crazy! I did tell them exactly what I needed when I started the process.

Same happened with me but with BCBS. I am appealing through obesity law though. It will take a while I guess. I hope this happens for me before the end of the year. I hope it happens for you even sooner!
