i have a recipe for a wonderul shake. i make this for my whole family so i dont have a breakdown in the size. i use jello sugar free pudding mix. add double the amount of skim milk and blend in blender adding ice to the consistancy you like. i like it thick and use ice from my local sonic drive in. this is yummy and low cal.
now my salty snack , i love sunflower seeds and they are packed with nutrition.
Sunflower Seed
the serving size is one ounce of kernals. but i get the in the shell ones and keep them near my chair , when i crave a snack i take out a seed and one by one put them in my mouth taste them crack them extract the seed and chew it very very slowly , i have made it an exercise to see how mushy i can make one before i swallow, then do the exact same thing over. until my cravings are gone , they are so tiny and so satisfying. i think it is more the act of eating them that relaxes me if that makes sense and since it takes forever to eat one ounce of kernals i am in good shape. and ck out the nutritional value at the above link. there is a brand called spitz that is alot lower in sodium and comes in flavors also ,
