Port repair!!

Hey you all, as some of you know my port is flipped and poking out quite a bit. And it has been really sore, hurting from where its poking out, I don't think its infected inside, its just sore from where its flipped. Well anyways, on the 4th when I have my tt done, the dr is fixing my port, those of you that have had your ports stitched back in place, any advice??? Please give me some insight or advice, so that I can make sure the dr gets it done right. I guess he'll know what needs done, but I just want to make sure.
