Hello!

You must be very excited!! I know I was when I had my date set. My surgery was June 18th. If you would like to read my story check out the post, "Soon to be a BANDit;" just to give you an idea of what surgery day may be like. The other guys have plenty of stories as well. This is an exciting time in your life! I know I am REALLY stoked about my band!

Tonty! You have the rest of your life to eat!

Avoid the "Last Supper syndrome" - don't treat this week as if you'll never eat again, and just gorge on everything in sight! Many of us had to do week or two week-long liquid diets pre-op (to shrink the liver to make surgery easier); it's a time when you lose weight rapidly, and prepare your body for your new way of eating.

Sorry to sound like such a school marm, but you can do a lot of damage to yourself in a week of gorging.
