looking for help in buffalo

hey guys new here and looking for info on the lap band. anyone have bcbs of wny? do they cover this/ just went to the seminar at buffalo general. was very informative, but not with insurance issues. any info would be appreciated

Hey there! From Dunkirk and have BCBS of Wny and they approved me two days after my doc submitted. I had a BMI of 40.

I did have to do six months of monitoring with my primary doc before they would submit though. I did mine at Hamot in Erie so things may be a bit different for you.

well thank you for the info! i'm very excited about this, i have a bmi of 40 as well. i hope i dont have to do a supervised diet for 6 mos! i'd get too small to get the surgery! lol this actually worries me:sad:
