I wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum. :confused::laugh::tt1::laugh:I have UHC Choice Plus, my paperwork was submitted on Apr. 8 and was approved on the 17th. I just received my official approval letter in the mail today. :rolleyes2: So we'll see how long it takes the surgeons office to call me to setup my surgery date. This forum was very helpful to me!!! I just lucked up on it one late night doing a search on the LB. Those who are still trying to get approved....KEEP AT IT, DON'T GIVE UP!!!! :cry_smile:

Does anyone know if UHC will accept 5 yr. medical records from my Chiropractor, instead of PCP?

I would think that they should, given that a chirporactor is still a doctor of some sort.

When I submitted to UHC, I didn't have 5 years of history with anyone, cause like you, I would never let anyone weigh me. I had random weights here and there over the least ten years, so I wrote a leatter to UHC filling in where I knew I had been for the last five years and they accepted that.

I will have UHC through the rail road in two weeks (when i get married) They said they cover lapband 80% and i want this surgery more than anything! I just pray everything will go through like it has for u other railroad wives !!

I would double check that 80% there. I know the insurance we're covered with is through the Railway Act or something or other. (Union Pacific, which I know is the same contract as a few other railroads out there...) UHC is only making us do co-pays and that's it. (We also have the Choice Plus, I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not as to exactly which plan y'all are on.)
