Cigna Approved!

I just wanted to share my story to give hope to all still waiting...

i started my 6 months doctor's visits in october.. I have everything finished and submitted to the insurance company on 3/13... i received a letter of denial on 3/18 stating that the facility wasn't "in network" ... the doctors corrected the paperwork (they accidentally put in the wrong facility) and the paperwork was re-submitted on 3/20. I was then expecting the worst and i HATED the waiting game.. but much to my surprise just a few weeks later on 4/8 i received my letter of approval rom Cigna!! it was so much easier than i anticipated!! So to all who are waiting keep your head up and keep positive.. it can be a simple process so don't stress too much at first!! Just wait to see what happpens!

That is what I say.....as long as you follow the process your insurance companies policies they will normally approve you fairly quickly. So for all those out there just do the process and don't give them a reason to deny you.

It's so worth the wait no matter what hoops they make you jump through.

I just called Cigna, my paperwork (100 pages) faxed on the 10th, received by them on the 12th, and the rep said it is pending already! :biggrin2: She said that is very quick, that she was surprised that it was moving so quickly! Yea!!!! Wish me luck!

Lucky you! I have cigna too. My pcp wrote a letter stating that I have failed at 4 years of medically supervised weight loss, but I still have to do the 6 months with the diettician at the surgeon's office. I'm trying not to be frustrated about it.

My doc is out of network, but the hospital he operates at is in network. any clue if this matters?
