Obesity law.com????

I have Aetna and have been denied because I only have four of the five years needed to get approved. I just filled out the form on obesitylaw.com. Has anyone here used them?

check out my reply in your other thread, I have seven pages of timelines, of no calls back etc.

Gary fixed my case after they let me slide for a year or so, obesitylaw, so I would signup for both if I were you, Viscio Law and The Obesity Law Center - Welcome and see who get's back to you fast, cheaper and makes you feel more comfortable. I know new hope that advertises here exclusively uses obesitylawyers

and trust me my insurance company was a nightmare to deal with. No one told the truth, EVER

I appeal a month ago and my case has been taken on by obesitylaw.com. I have been denied 2 times. Once by Aetna in October and after receiving new health insurance in January with Oxford. My appeals process is undergoing right now. Everyone I have talked to has had a positive outcome with obesitylaw.com. Plus if your husband has any other medical issue it helps the case to have them files sent to them to help his case. (Sleeping disorder or etc.)

He was denied by Aetna in January. Do you think we should appreal first then go to obesitylaw.com? Why did you get denied? What did you do for your appeal?

thanks for your help.

I would Appeal. Tell your doctor that you want to appeal. Your doctor will tell you were to file the paper work and who to send it too. I was denied because my bmi was only 38. But I have some many medical problems that that my weight causes. For only being 23 years old. I should have been approved by my medical reason by themselves. As I was told. I am so Thankful that the lawyer took my case and will fight my case. If your case is taken by the lawyer its because they beleive you have a case. I have heard nothing about good things from my support group members that have gone through this and my doctor as well. Good luck. I hope this helps you.

It is now saying on Aetnas Bulletin that you only need two years instead of five! So tell them hey you changed your policy and not I should be approved! They wrote it. They should be following it. Good LUCK!

Someone told me about this thread...don't forget that if you were denied LAP-BAND Surgery we handle those appeals under an agreement with Allergan under a special program at no cost to you or your surgeon's office. Hopefully we'll get the chance to get you approved - in 2007 our rate for the program was over 87%.

Good luck however you decide to move forward!

Thanks Walter. We will try to appeal first, espeically with the new great news about the 2 year history. If we need further assistance, I will be sure to contact you.
