Banded January 18th

So after a year of trying to get my insurance to approve me and prepping for surgery... I finally did it on Friday. About 5:30 am in the morning I was sitting at the hospital and waiting the arrival of my doctor. By 7 am I was put to sleep.. and woken about 9 am. Saw my husband.. then moved to a room right away. I was told because I have sleep apnea, I would have to spend the night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. In a range of 1 to 10 in pain, my pain was a 4 or 5 only. I didnt take much pain med or had much gas. I was released the next day after I took an upper GI test and found out everything was fine. Came home and was able to walk around. My liquid diet is also working well too. However, my 3rd day out and the gas is starting to act up. I'm taking chewable gas x... which is working great. Today I actually had 3 oz of Protein boost and I'm so excited. I even weighed myself and found I've lost 8 lbs already. I took my first shower today... and walking around. Even got on the computer and sat up watching TV for a bit. I'm so excite...

Oh one last question... anybody having alot of phlegm??? I was on Oxygen and I think it caused my throat to get very dry. I'm blowing my nose and there's signs of blood and I want to cough up the phlegm every so often. Been spitting alot... Will that cause my band to slip? My hospital actually gave me this cough teddy bear... that I can hold up to my tummy when I cough to help the pain... that was nice. I feel like a little girl, carrying this teddy everywhere I go. Oh wells... =)

I'll update more later... :)
