The envelope on the side

Does anyone know why when I post a reply or post a new thread the little envelope on the left hand side has a black dot in the middle of it?? It only happens when I post something. The envelope can not have anything on it and as soon as I post a reply the black dot shows up! It is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!1

Not 100% sure what you're referring to but I think it means that there is now a reply to a post.

As far as I can tell - it means that is a thread you have posted to. Generally that means you have an interest in the thread, so when you're looking at new posts, you can see which ones you've posted to and see if someone has responded to you or added something interesting to the conversation.

Also, if you select the Email Notification box under options when you post, you will get an email when a new post is added to that thread.

Donali got it right. That black dot means you have posted in a thread. It's one of the things I love most about this format!
