They require a 5 year BMI of obesity, but are unable to give me a more specific answer of what they consider an acceptable BMI >30? >35? >40? It's very frustrating because it will determine if I'm covered or not. If anyone has some insight please let me know, I'm considering switching insurance if it's going to disqualify me.
February 14, 20224 yr I have United through Optum as well. I guess your plan is different as mine didn't require the 5 year history. It was actually very easy to get approved. Sorry that you need that but i would confirm with Optum themselves as my patient navigator stated i needed the history but it actually wasn't required.
