I had my RNY on 11/05. I feel like I am doing really well. I am down about 14 lbs. I struggle getting enough protein every day. My Dr wants 60-90 grams per day. I am typically on the lower end of that. I am able to get my fluid in although not drinking 30 min before and waiting for 30 minutes after is always a challenge. I go back for my 1 month check up this week. Looking forward to getting my lab work results. Hopefully everything is on track. How are you doing since surgery?

RNY was on 11/6. So far so good. Slower progress than wha I hoped at 21 pounds down. But, I try to remember that it takes a 3500 calories deficit to loose a pound. That is about 18K calories in a week. I’ll take it.

Hope everyone else in the Nov 3rd week is doing well also.

Hi there. I had my RNY on 11/5 and I'm doing well for the most part. However, if I eat too much, or eat something my tummy isn't ready for, I pay the price. I'm learning to take things a bit slower and am adding just one food at a time to see how it goes. I've had trouble when I try to eat ground beef, chicken or fish (shrimp is okay). I'll try those foods again after the first of the year and then have just a very small amount to start out. I'm down about 20 pounds from my surgery date. I love the fact that my clothes are feeling looser! I cleaned some clothes out of my closet today and took them to Goodwill. That felt good! How are you doing since your surgery?
