Virtual Run

I just signed up for a virtual run and thought this may be something others would be interested in. You sign up just like you would for a regular 5k race, but you can do it on your own, outside or in a gym, and log your hours when you're done. No pressure!

I decided to do it to keep myself motivated to exercise and run, and also to try to get some local running buddies to train with. (It worked, I have a few people who are interested in running or walking!) I work every other weekend and many of the 5K's that are local to me wind up being on my work days, so I thought this would be a great way to do it at a time that is convenient for me.

See below for the link/URL to The Great Pumpkin Virtual Run or Walk if anyone is interested. For this race you get a link to share when you register, and if 5 or more people use it to join, you get a $20 refund of your race fee. I challenged my friends on facebook to motivate others using their link like I am doing and then donate any refunds to a charity. I'm giving my refund if I get it to a local foundation for cancer care.

If you need an excuse or motivation to get moving, here it is!
