Is this normal?

I had my surgery a little over a month ago. I’m now on soft foods. Every time I take a bite I get this heartburn feeling and then it seems like my stomach “opens up” and then the food goes in and the feeling is better...until I take the next bite. Is this normal? Will this feeling go away the more I heal?

I am still learning what all of the signs and feelings are when I eat but, that does not seem at all normal to me. Probably worth a call to your surgical team to ask.

Let us know what you find out.

I get a feeling kind of like that if I eat too quickly.
