Start Liquid diet tomorrow

I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow! it is getting sooooo close! cant believe I am almost to the other side of the bench! I have been in this process for 2 years almost (insurance issues) and it has finally come! can not believe it!

Wednesday 3/7 I have my pre anesthesia appointments with the pre op team and Dr Bencsath (my surgeon). so amazing to be here already!

My diet when I start will be all liquid except cottage cheese. I can't puree anything.

Not good. Dr is worried about liver and the fat around it. He called it NASH. My blood also wasn’t clotting. Long story short, surgery is off for now and seeing a specialist in 3 weeks. I asked percentages of me being able to ever get surgery and he said 90-95%. Not sure when that will be but fingers crossed it will happen sometime.

Yes. Liquid diet is tough. But getting through it. And I'm sorry you have to postpone. It will all work out for you I just know it.


I love the premier protein shakes and hope that my taste doesn’t change after surgery ( which I keep hearing can happen).

My favorite is chocolate with a couple scoops of PBFit...love this stuff. Feels like a PB chocolate dessert!
