New gal

Hey everyone!

I'm 3 weeks post-op from my RNY. And so far so good? I'm still having issues with eating too fast and having dreams about cheese burgers but I guess that's to be expected.

Just saying hi and shout out to all my bypass people in Pensacola, FL!

Congrats! Do you mind if I ask you some questions? Is there foods you can't handle anymore? Does food taste different?? How much pain you were in??? I have one more weight appoint, I did everything I was suppose too. So next step is to meet with surgeon.

Of course I don't mind! As far as stuff I can't handleven it's a pretty small list right now. Mostly it's high sugar foods? Sometimes peanut butter makes me dump, also really sugary tastin sugar free foods will make me dump as well.. or at least feel like I am.

And as far as taste, most things still taste the same. I personally won't touch SF chocolate pudding ever again because I ate so much of it after surgery. So I think the taste thing is a person by person basis.

Pain levels.. well, while in the hospital it was about a 4 to 5 out of 10.. but you have the pain pump which helps (obviously lol). At home it was mostly gas pain and gas-x and walking alleviate that.

Good luck! Ask anymore questions, I don't mind.

hi and welcome!!!! congrats on starting your new life!!!!
