Moving Post Surgery

Has anyone had to move post surgery and switch doctors? I'm asking for a friend. She is 3 moo this post op and her husband is getting relocated for his job. She is basically being threatened that if she moves then she won't get her follow up care because other programs won't help her if she didn't get surgery with them. That doesn't seem right.
