Hunger V. Cravings

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having any issues with this. I never thought of this as a problem, but finding it is!

Can you tell the difference? how do you deal with this?

I am finding, now that I can't eat any and everything I want, that I have issues with hunger v. cravings. Trying to make the right decision on what I eat is very trying, being so limited to what I CAN eat.

How do you work your way around your cravings. My biggest craving is salty treats. I'm not too much of a sweet eater, but if it is salty I want to eat it! I will want/crave things when I am not really all that hungry, and finding it hard not to easy just because I can or want to.

I am trying to keep strong and keep myself busy with other things when I start craving things. What do you do. How do you know if it's hunger or a craving?

Does anyone know of any articles or studies done on this?
