CHOLESTYRAMINE for dumping syndrome??

Does anyone take cholestyramine powder for dumping syndrome? Did you like it or not? Would insurance cover it for you? Thank you all in advance for your replies!

Hi, I don't take it for dumping syndrome per se but I take it for gastroparesis. (Haven't had surgery yet, though you can have dumping syndrome with gastroparesis and I've started to suspect that was what was going on). My insurance covers it. It's really an acquired taste to be honest. I can't mix it with plain water except if I have no other options then I have to literally choke it down.. some have an orangish flavoring to them and are overly sweet, some are not so noticeable. I get sent whichever brand the pharmacy has so I have also had prevalite and another kind too.
