Gut rest?

Hi everyone, reporting from the hospital here. Had the surgery Wed 2-15 and expected to go home today (Friday). Everything looked good except an elevated heart rate, so they did a CAT scan. They found that the lower part of the intestines is slightly inflamed, so they have me on "gut rest" for 24 hours and then reassess. Has anyone had something similar? I'm trying not to catastrophize but right now I'm regretting having done this.

No I had total opposite. My heart rate was in the 40's my whole time there and even at discharge. I was afraid they'd keep me and do a cardiac consultant but they didn't. Within the week everything was normal. I bet yours will even put too. Hang on there. [emoji846]
