Newest posts---gone again???

Back before the layout change, there was a listing at the top of the home page, showing the most recent posts...it listed say the last 7 or 8 I think. When the layout changed, it dropped to the bottom of the page, and now I do not find it at all? Is it being moved again--or done away with altogether? I for one miss it!
