under 24 hours after it was submitted for approval. It took me over a year to get everything together to submit though!

I was pre approved before my first visit with the surgeon's office. I started the process in March, 2016 and got my approval in late July . Surgery was in August. I was pretty sure they were going to approve as long as I did all of the pre surgical requirements.

I started the process in February with my PCP. My first surgeon appointment was March 3, and my final surgeon appointment was August 10. I had my medical clearance appointment with my PCP on August 23. It took her about a week to get all the results in and fax a clearance letter to the surgeon. Once that happened, they filed immediately with the insurance. It was approved 2 weeks later, and they then scheduled the surgery for September 28 immediately after approval. All-in-all, it was about a 7 month process.
