NSV - shorts! (xposted)

  • Popular Post

I was sleeved on 9/30/15 at my highest weight of 205. As of yesterday I've lost 50 lbs and am down to 153.8. I still have 27 pounds to go to reach my goal and I'm hoping I get there by my one year surgiversary. Even as a kid I remember being too self conscious to wear shorts. I ventured into the juniors department at Belk today and tried on these pink scallop shorts. I'm still not 100 % comfortable in them but I'm hoping I will be by summertime :) Sometimes the number on the scale doesn't move and sometimes it's so easy to get discouraged. Celebrating non-scale victories helps me keep everything in perspective. What are YOUR favorite NSVs?

Totally cute! Your legs are shaped nicely for them.

Good job!!! I'll be glad when I'm 140

Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App

where I work I can dress in jeans/shorts/etc so I have been wearing clothes that I bought 10-12 years ago hoping to wear. Now they are falling down, I look like one of the teenage boys will all of his boxers exposed if I am not careful. I told hubby yesterday I have got to get a pair or two of shorts. I proceeded to go back through the smallest jeans/shorts I have and I can wear all of them but one pair!!!

To me these are the best NSVs. The scale hasn't moved but I know my body is changing because my clothes are fitting differently and everyone keeps complimenting my weight loss and that I must have lost more weight (since Christmas). Not! I have lost around 4-5 lbs since before Christmas so the inches must be coming off. I will take that.
