Help! Anyone have leak after surgery?

I am three weeks out of VBG to RNY revision and have been on soups since Monday. I have also been having pain on left side that feels like fire sometimes other times just sharp pain. Also swelling in feet but mostly left foot. Called my dr today and he is sending me to ER for a cat scan with contrast to see if I have a leak! I asked what do you do if there is one and he said drain it but how do you stop the leak? I don't have time for this lol!

I hope you're OK... what did the ER say? I'm pre-op, but leaks are something that scare me just a bit.

Check in when you can :)

They ran labs and did a ct scan with contrast (both oral and IV) and all tests came back good. I go to his office on Thursday but he's saying the burning/ fire sensation is nerves and I still have a bad pain on left side. We shall see what he says. I'm on full soups with all veggies and chicken in them now which kinda bothers me because it's only been 4 weeks tomorrow but he never required purée foods so I hope that doesn't have something to do with it. Thanks for checking!

I had a leak and it was awful!!! I was in so much pain. My pain was different than yours. I did have left side pain for a while but after 2 months it went away. Remember your Dr. did a lot to your insides...it's going to take time to heal.

It's taken me 3 months and I'm finally starting to feel normal again. I hardly eat anything, sometimes I have left side pain but it's constipation now lol, and I've lost weight???? I was so frustrated but just remember it takes time.
