I am still trying to get the money together for a lap band. My insurance doesn't cover WLS. I have been quoted $20,000 for lap band. I live in Wisconsin. Is that what other people in other states have paid/charged?

Also, I have a hiatal hernia. HAs anyone had a hernia fixed and lap band surgery at the same time to get their insurance to cover it? If so how much did they pay for the hernia vs entire cost of lapband and hernia surgery?

I'm in Florida and quoted $9000 that includes a year of follow up visits! I also he know he is a great dr as well.
