I Need Advice

Does anyone know where I can get help paying out-of-pocket for the gastric sleeve or what can I do to get my insurance to pay. I have Cigna insurance and also have Medicaid through Molina Healthcare.

It really depends on your specific health plan. I have Cigna and my surgery was covered. Have you called Cigna to see if your plan covers bariatric surgery?

Agree. your first move might be to contact Cigna and ask for a nurse / case manager to walk you through the process and be an advocate for you. I have Medicare as my primary insurance and BCBS Federal Employee as my secondary (retired from V.A.) I have had to pay very little for anything. For my sleeve, I think I paid about $150 for a hospital related expense.

I'm on my mother's insurance (Cigna is my primary) and she works for the city as a Firefighter and I have my Medicaid for disability....My doctors have wrote & called Cigna numerous times and I was still denied. My mother switched from Blue Cross Blue Shield thinking I would get approved through Cigna
