Help so sick

I made the mistake of thinking I could eat Candy Corn and it would be ok. I ate 5. Oh my goodness gracious. Wrong!!! I feel so bad. Wow. I cannot believe it. How long does this last?

In RNY surgery they cut away the part of your stomach that process fats and sugars. Eating these will cause dumping syndrome. After about a year, your intestines will adapt and begin to perform the function that your stomach once did. Your intestines will then be able to convert fats and sugars and you will not longer experience dumping syndrome. Although if you want to maintain your weight loss, you may want to avoid the sugars.

Thanks James! I need to know the technical.

Dumping has happened to me a couple of times. Once was my fault. I think I'm getting sick and I'm not sure what caused a dumping episode this past weekend. I'm just being really careful because I'm scared to have it happen again.

At three months out, I haven't experienced it yet, and hope I never do. What I like is that the "fear" of it is helping keep me on track.
