Try getting some extra vitamin K rich foods--like spinach or even a bit of V8--if your tummy will allow. Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin that affects blood clotting and post GI surgery one that is not absorbed well. Besides they shoot ya with so much blood thinners around the time of surgery to prevent blood clots it takes a bit to get back to baseline!

I did get bruises in the first couple of months post op but I no longer see them.
