Gurgling/ bloated tummy

At just over six months post op, recently my tummy has been gurgling more often and I feel somewhat bloated. I usually have a bowel movement once to twice a week.

However, in the last few weeks, my tummy has become more gurgly, I feel bloated, and now I'm having more bowel movements more often – almost as if food is going straight through me.

Is this normal??

Mona what took so long? Ha ha I had this soon as I started foods again. My dr got me taking stool softener then fiber etc. the phase will change back again and again. Sometimes I need suppositories even. But I feel that when I poop a lot I lose weight faster. Good luck

Haha. Yes...pooping does seem to help with weight loss :-)

My dr recently told me it is normal, that what I am experiencing is probably gas - which can be caused by many things. Out of all that he suggested, I suspect it is from the sugar substitute, Splenda.

Since I have backed off the Splenda, the gurgling does not happen as often.

Keep on a-poopin' ????
