No longer prediabetic!

So after two months from my Sleeve surgery my A1C level has gone from 6.4 (the highest number before official diabetes) to 5.1. What a major relief!

Congrats!! That's awesome!

I am doing my pre-op diet for surgery May 15th. Between the weight I lost waiting for approval and my pre-op diet my meds got cut in half today. I can see the light coming at the end of this medicine train!

My medicine changes have been

Amlodipine: No longer taking (thank God, it was doing havoc to my ankles)

Lisinopril w/ HCTZ: Changed to just Lisinopril and half the dosage. My BP is flirting between prehypertension and hypertension stage 1.

Simvastatin: Unchanged (Cholesterol not re-tested yet)

Metformin: No longer taking
