I have a travel dilemma...please help

Recommended Posts

I had my RNY on March 16, even though I am on solid foods I do enjoy an Atkins EAS Protein Shake daily as a Protein booster (chocolate yum). Anyway, I will be traveling to Venice/Greece in May and am wondering if I should pack a 2 weeks worth of shakes ( a lot of weight in suitcase ) or try to find a place in Venice that sells them. I can't imagine being able to find them there. Any suggestions, or has anyone seen them in Italy/ Greece stores.

Why not just do powder?

Could you order them online and ship them to your hotel? Or send a request to the hotel concierge and ask if they have them in the area? Good luck!

I have looked for that exact brand in the UK without any luck! I ended up with powder and did fine.

I generally use Protein bars when I am on the go. Quest is a good brand. But since you had a RNY on 16 March, that may be a bit early to begin using these. Ask your nutritionist.

Thank you so so much for all your help. Everybody's input is really valuable to me. Sending them to the hotel would be an awesome idea only were going to be in Venice for one day and then a seven day cruise to Greece and then two days in Venice at the end. Otherwise that would've worked really well. I think I will have to go with the powder. Although I hate the powder it's the next best alternative. Thanks again have a great day everyone

You might be able to eat half a Quest bar at a time. They save me white traveling, especially on fly days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
