Not enough time protien shakes OK?

I am on my pre op diet now-4 protein shakes a day,4 oz protein, one cup of veggies,one cup or fruit.unlimited SF Popsicles,jello,celery and cucumbers.so far I can't seem to stomach all those shakes.I got in 3 yesterday and 2 today.will it make a big difference if I don't do 4 a day or should i just choke them down?

I guess it depends on the nutrition you are getting. My Protein shakes were 30g of protein and considered full Meal Replacements. I was allowed 4, but usually only had 3. I just wasn't hungry for the 4th which was to be my snack. I wasn't allowed to have the other protein/veggies that you are allowed. I was told to aim for 60-100g of protein and about 500 calories for my pre-op diet. I would find a shake you like that is high and protein, because that's all the nutrition you will get for a while.

How many days is your pre-op diet for???

I was given 2 weeks to loose X amount of weight, lbs....

My Dr. did not care how I did it, as long as I did.

So I did not try to force anything, or worry about what I was eating or not....just worried I would

loose the weight so I could have the surgery on the scheduled date.

Otherwise he would postpone it.

i am on day 3 of 14.the have 20 grams of protien with only one scoop.maybe i should add more to each one?
