How to get my motivation back?

I am 5 months post RNY and since starting the journey I've lost 84 pounds and it feels great. I've slowly been backsliding on journaling and not eating as I should. Result, weight loss has stopped, but I haven't gained - but feel it is only a matter of time. At the moment my stress level is sky high - was diagnosed with breast cancer last week and am scheduled for a mastectomy on 3/31. Back in the day, food was my go-to stress reliever, comfort giver. I don't want to undo the good that I've accomplished, but I'm having trouble getting back on track. Any words of wisdom?

Support groups can help, both in person and here online. Find a breast cancer support group as soon as you can. It will help to talk to others going through the same thing. I would also suggest talking to a therapist. You've got a lot to process right now, and a therapist can help you deal with the stress and uncertainty. I wish you all the best.
