My surgery is the 25th

I am a little anxious and just developed a sore throat. Hope I can shake it before surgery. I have a stupid question. How does the gas from surgery clear the body? And how long does that normally take?

Well looks like I might have to cancel Friday's surgery. I have developed a terrible chest cold that is getting worse each day. No fever but I have a horrible cough and rattle in my chest..probably bronchitis. I am beyond disappointed I am going to call the office today and see if I should definitely reschedule. I am just hoping it isn't too long. Luckily I only have a one day liquid diet but I self detoxed from caffiene and sugar....and of course the emotions are really pushing the cravings. Really bummed.

I am sorry dwash. I posted on the wrong thread. Good luck to you.

2 days post op........went very well day one, almost too good. Key is stay up on pain mess. Day two was good until I got home from Hospital and gas cramping started, very painful for about 8 hours. Day three is starting to get rid of phlegm from being down, not fun. Pain is a 4 or 5. Hope tomorrow. Is better, need to get back to work

One week post op and I am back to work and all is well. Only issues are numbness in my right thigh and trouble sleeping. I am a side sleeper and there is still some mild discomfort on my side. I have lost 23 pounds from the start of my pre op (1 week) liquid diet to one week post op
