Hi. First post on any of these forums. I've been reading awhile. Just approved last week. Still don't want to do this surgery but I know I can't do his on my own. I have been considering this for a year. Gave myself that to lose what I could and then make the decision. After a year I was down 15 pounds. Not the success I had hoped for but some success. A friend and I decided to go through the process together. She had many more health issues than I. She had her surgery June 2014 and had

many complications. Not the same surgeon as I'm using so I do feel a little better about that. Finally made the decision when I read something on one of these posts. " do I see myself better next year if I don't do this.. " No so here I go

Hi, I was approved last week and got the call yesterday. I am scheduled for surgery 03/09/2015. I'm optimistic and nerves now that I have an actual date. Like you I have tried everything and have lost just to gain most of it or all of it back. I wish you the very best, as we begin this journey on the same day.

Had my endoscopy yesterday. Can't wait for Monday. Hoping all will go well. Finally at peace with the decision. Still only told a few people. I don't want any negative influences. Only positive. Good luck to all
