AWAITING APPROVAL - UMR

I am currently awaiting insurance approval... I have UMR United Healthcare Choice Plus. Does anyone else have this plan & how long did it take to get approval. Also when I called they told me that they had a surgery date of 11/7... this is the first I have heard of this date.. Does this mean that is when I will be having my surgery?

@@Vfoster317 I don't have your insurance sorry, but I can tell you when I called my insurance company I also had a surgery date I had never heard of. I think it's a way to get them moving on the case. It didn't work for me though because they had Oct 21 and my actual date now is 11/3

your surgeon had to submit a date of surgery for them to start the approval process, i'm guessing. that's how mine worked. i too got very excited when the insurance company told me my date of surgery was 11/28, but doc's office says definitely no earlier than 11/4 now. :( still pending approval.

@@Vfoster317 Yes I got my approval of the 17th but that wouldn't have been enough time to do the two week liquids. It's ok because I never said I wanted it done on the 21st that was all the Drs office.

Insurance company told me I should have my approval no later that the end of the month so really hoping Nov 17th date is a go for me. So ready for this but also have a lot of different things going thru my mind. Thanks for your input & have a great day! =)
