Post op day 2 need suggestions?

I have had no nausea I have so far drank 800 mls of water + clear protein + hot decaf tea + broth all being measured in a 30ml cup.

I have not passed gas. I have had 2 milk of mag. Any suggestions? All the staff said its ok. When should I take colace. Am I worrying myself?

First don't take any laxative without asking your surgeon first.

Second you are only taking in liquids so like they told you don't worry about having a bowel movement it will happen.

If you are feeling discomfort from not going then you should talk to the surgeon's office right away and they will advise you of what to do.

Just relax and remember you just had major surgery and your body is adjusting. It takes time.

Feel good and good luck on your journey to a healthier you.

The best thing is to get walking. I understand that might not sound like a fun idea, but it really got things moving for me. If you're home, walk around the coffee table or whatever. If you're still in the hospital, walk the halls. Be patient and try not to force nature with pills.

Succes this morning :) I walked the halls all night with wonderful husband. We are staying in suite we rented & the manager has been very good to help with my needs. I can feel my intestines rumble alot this morning. Thank you for your support
