I'm about 16 months out and having a tough time..I've gone back to hoarding food, even if I don't eat it I just want it there. Going to dunks and getting coffee rolls and donuts for Breakfast, snacking on popcorn at night. Just doing it all wrong basically, and I've gained about 9 pounds.

I want to be healthy, and skinny, and I don't want to waste this opportunity. Anyone hit this bump? I just feel like a waste of space, and a disappointment and I'm getting horribly depressed again. I just need to know how to get back on track..

I am five years out, never hit my goal but was happy happy happy. Since the first of the year I have put back on 24 pounds. WHY am I doing this? I have no idea, but today Im starting over "again". Dont let it pull you in, I feel for ya, fight back. Ive heard that if you can go a day without eating (fasting) your stomach will go back to the size it was after surgery, not enough roo for much. Not sure if its true, but Im sure hoping.

I've read quite a few posts on here and elsewhere about people who hit something like this going back and doing the 5-day pouch test

I have no firsthand expereince, but all of the posts seem to point toward it being helpful to those who've tried it.

Luckily it sounds like you've caught yourself early enough that you only have 9 pounds to attack right now. Comparing that to wherever you originally started, it should be a much easier battle to win.

Hang in there. You can definitely right the ship.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
