Hi all

Hi Everyone!

I'm just getting started and I am hoping to get the gastric bypass surgery. I have been unable to control my weight since I was in a motorcycle accident in 1998 because I am unable to exercise. My left leg was basically crushed, I broke my pelvis and was left with back and hip problems. Over the years I have gained a lot of weight and I'm in pain every day. I also have developed high blood pressure which runs in my family. My father passed away when he was 59 years old from having high blood pressure and being over weight. I'm going to be 52 years old this year so I am getting really concerned that I will pass early like him. I have three grown children, two granddaughters and one grandbaby on the way. I have a lot to live for so I really need to do something about by health. Recently my PCP told me that if my blood pressure does not go down, I will need to be put on medication. I already take medications for pain so I don't want to take even more medication. I am hoping that the bypass will help me to manage my weight at last. I am going to the seminar on Monday and I am getting very excited! I just thought I would say hi and wish everyone the best while you are on the same journey as me.
